Medicine Womyn retreats are a powerful and potent time together when we meet each other with an open heart and open mind.
This gorgeous land, set on Lake Champlain, has been home to girls’ summer camps for more than 100 years. Those of you who joined us in past summers know what a special spot this is for our weekend of wild womyn magick! We will have access to the waterfront, big open fields held by forests, cozy off-grid cabins and sheltered sites for workshops, dining, and essential needs.
With that in mind, we strongly encourage you to pack with a *summer camp* mentality: prepared for the elements, varying temperatures and activities, and any creature comforts that will make you feel the coziest. Read through to get an idea of how to prepare and our packing list!

Our staff will be ready to receive you between 4-5:30PM on Friday, Aug 22nd. In the welcome loop, our staff will be ready to guide you where to park, how to check-in, and where to find your cozy cabin. Please arrive in this time window for our staff to be able to support you and to give yourself enough time to ground and settle in before our shared dinner at 6:00pm followed by our opening circle ceremony.
ACTIVITIES

The workshops planned vary from yoga, to sound bath, to dance, to journeying with archetypes, and more. We will host these workshops indoors while holding ceremonies outdoors. Our indoor spaces will be cozy though minimally furnished. With that in mind, we encourage you to bring chairs, cushions, blankets, and yoga mat, as needed to make the space support your own comfort. The weekend’s schedule can be found below as well as in the program you will receive at check-in.
Outdoors you will also find swimming at the private beachfront, ax throwing in the field, and a gorgeous marketplace and healing haven for those who wish to do a bit of shopping or indulge in a private session in healing arts for body, mind and spirit. For the time outdoors, we encourage you to pack rain gear and boots, walking shoes, swimsuit and towel, and layers for warm days and cool nights. We carry on, rain or shine!
FOOD & DRINK

All meals and snacks will be provided throughout the weekend from Lucky Star Catering. Sourced as locally as possible, meals will be organic and use the freshest and best quality ingredients. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in your registration form, or email us at medicinewomynvt@gmail.com and we will make sure to accommodate your needs, having you well nourished throughout your stay.
LODGING

We will be sleeping in sweet, rustic, off-grid cabins. They sleep 6-8 comfortably in 4 sets of bunk beds. There are thin mattresses but no bedding so please bring your own sheets, blankets, pillow and/or a sleeping bag. The cabins do not have electricity and bathrooms are in separate bath houses a short walk from each cabin. We advise bringing a lantern, flashlight or headlamp for ease and visibility in the evening and night. The bath houses on site have showers, toilets, and sinks with sensory lights that activate at night.

-
10:30 AM–12:00 PM – Gathering the Bones; ReVitalizing the Wild Mature Feminine with MotherBone: This workshop is an experiential exploration for breathing life into and inhabiting our wild instinctive nature. It’s both a remembering and a reclamation of a deep bone knowing in us that is well, intact and alive but has long been stifled or untapped. We’ll come together to shed false skins and distractions so we can inhabit ourselves more truly and fully.
-
12:00–1:00 PM – Nourishing Feast:

We will embody our inner goddess & activate the fire within. Participants will learn basic fire safety practices before journeying through introductory palm torch moves. From there, we'll build a simple yet stunning choreographed dance. No previous fire dance experience is necessary. *Please wear natural fiber clothing to this workshop/no synthetics*
-
8:15–9:15 PM – Sacred Fire Tending with Annette: Sacred Fire Tending is a ceremonial space where we remember the ancient practice of communing with the elemental flame as a living spirit, honoring fire as both a physical and spiritual teacher. Together, we will explore the feminine art of tending ceremonial fire and step into the sacred role of the firekeeper. Through this practice, we’ll learn the foundations of fire ceremony, respectful fire-building, energetic tending, and the use of herbs to carry specific intentions in prayer. This is a space of remembrance, reverence, and radiant power.
-
9:30–11:00 PM – Fireside Drumming, Dancing & Song Circle with Tiffany & MW Staff: Let your spirit soar as we drum, dance, and sing beneath the stars, celebrating the wild and the sacred within.

This is a soul-stirring, root-shaking, breath-fueled ceremony led by Beth — seasoned body whisperer, soul midwife, and transformation station conductor. We're talkin’ big medicine. The kind that melts masks, awakens ancestral whispers, and calls you back to your bones.

-
11:15 AM–12:45 PM – Sound Bath and Sacred Play with Tammy & MW Staff: Begin with a grounding sound bath to soothe the soul, then open into joyful, heart-centered play through voice, rhythm, and movement. Release, remember, and return to the medicine of joy.

There will be sessions available throughout the weekend with a range of healers and bodyworkers. From reiki, cranio-sacral, sound healing, coaching, and tarot readings. You can find the links to their sites and reserve your spot through our Additional Offerings page.
There, you will see we also have an incredible line up of vendors in our marketplace. We have sisters selling drums and rattles, gorgeous jewelry, apothecary and altar items, beautiful clothing, crystals and so much more. We encourage you to support these artisans and maybe pick up a souvenir from the weekend!

MARKETPLACE AND HEALING HAVEN

While the camp spans 35 acres, the bulk of our event is in a contained area. There are short distances to walk between each building (lodging, dining hall, and classrooms) and most buildings are accessible by ramp. Some sites are a short distance uphill, so if you feel a walking stick would support you we encourage you to bring one. This year we will also be providing shuttling services between meals and workshops for those who would like mobility support. When you arrive at check-in you can find out more about how these services will operate and sign-up!
